    History

Prior to 1933, members of the German Youngsters did not wear many types of headgear. A non-regulation summer field cap was one of the few exceptions. It was made from either light brown or black cloth. It featured dual-colored piping (red and white, respectively) on the front, diagonally across the edge of the turn-up, and along the top seam.

The cap was probably worn for the last time at the Reichsparteitag Rally in Nuremberg in November 1933.
