Prior to 1933, some members of the Hitler Youth and the German Youngsters wore a beret made from cloth.

This beret is composed of cloth that is a darker brown colour than that of the standard uniform cloth.

The HJ version of the beret features piping in dual-colored red and white twisted cord.
