Prior to 1933, members of the Hitler Youth would wear the membership pin of their organisation on the center of the front peak of their headgear. The round pin shows a sun having rise halfway over the horizon, with a half-visible swastika. On the outer edge, the full name of the organisation (at this point in time) is written: H.J. Deutsche Arbeiter-Jugend (Hitler Youth German Worker Youth).
