This Medal was founded by the Hungarian Council of Ministers to reward extraordinary and outstanding merit within the safeguarding of life and property via fire protection and prevention services.
The Type I medals feature a crossed hose and ax on the bottom of the obverse medallion.
The I Class Silver Medal features a gold coloured clasp on the ribbon.
