The Commemorative Medal for the Enthronement of Prince Rainier III was awarded in commemoration of Prince Rainier III's ascension to the Monegasque throne.

Prince Rainier III ascended to the throne on May 9, 1949, and ruled Monaco for 56 years. He is well known for marrying American Actress Grace Kelly in 1956, and for expanding Monaco's economy beyond the Casino Gambling industry.
