The Medal of the Royal Dutch Association for Aviation was established by the Royal Dutch Aeronautical Association in 1922. It is awarded by the association to those who have made outstanding contributions to the field of aviation and is permitted for wear on military uniforms.

The Gold Medal features a reverse inscription that translates to "Royal Dutch Association for Aviation." Approximately 70 have been awarded.
