The Resistance Star East Asia (1942-1945) was established by Royal Decree in 1948. It was awarded to Dutch military personnel and civilians in recognition of meritorious service in Japan, or Japanese-occupied territories, during the Second World War from 1942-1945, including aid rendered to interned Dutch citizens and resistance activities.
The Bronze Star features an obverse inscription that translates to "The Mind is Victorious."
