History

Awarded by the Ministry of the Defence of the Republic of Slovenia, this Medal is conferred upon employees of the Ministry of Defence, members of the Slovenian Armed Forces, and others in recognition of scientific and technical contributions for methods applied by the Slovenian Armed Forces and to military skills.

The reverse inscriptions translate to "Science and Army" and "Peace".

This Medal was named in commemoration of a Slovenian writer, and officer, Fridolin Kaučič.

The Bronze Medal is awarded for the introduction of new skills and methods resulting in improved function and organization of the Slovenian Armed Forces.
