History

This Medal is conferred upon active and retired employees of the Slovenian Intelligence and Security Service in recognition of meritorious service in the fields of defence, intelligence, and national security.

The obverse Slovenian inscription translates to "Republic of Slovenia, Ministry of Defence, Intelligence and Security Service".

The Gold Medal is awarded for significant meritorious service in the field of national security.
