History

This Medal is conferred upon active and retired employees of the Slovenian Intelligence and Security Service in recognition of meritorious service in the fields of defence, intelligence, and national security.

The obverse Slovenian inscription translates to "Republic of Slovenia, Ministry of Defence, Intelligence and Security Service".

The Silver Medal is awarded for the successful implementation of intelligence and security activities.
