History

This Order is conferred upon employees of the Ministry of Defence headquarters, authorities in the structural and internal organizational units of the ministry, units, and Officers of the Slovenian Armed Forces, for extraordinary service rendered to the progression and strengthening of the Slovenian Armed Forces.

Other individuals who are eligible to receive this Order are, foreign nationals and organizations for noteworthy cooperation with the Slovenian Ministry of Defence, and the Slovenian army.

When this Order is conferred in recognition of war merit, the decoration is awarded with crossed swords.

The reverse of the decoration is engraved with the full name and year of conferral.

This Order may be conferred posthumously.

The II Class may also be known as the "Order of the Slovenian Armed Forces with Star."

The II Class is conferred upon units and institutions of the Slovenian Armed Forces, organizational units of the Ministry, employees of managerial positions, and Officers in the headquarters of the Slovenian Armed Forces.
