    History

The Colonial Fire Brigade Long Service Medal was established by King George V in 1934. The Silver Medal is awarded to Junior Officers of colonial, dominion, and British overseas territories Fire Services for 18 years of full-time exemplary service. The Colonial Fire Brigade Long Service Medal was renamed the Overseas Territories Fire Brigade Medal on June 14, 2012.

Clasps are awarded to denote additional periods of service. 1 clasp is awarded to denote a total of 25 years of service and a second clasp is awarded to denote 30 years of service. A silver rosette may be worn on the ribbon to denote the award of a clasp when the ribbon is worn alone.

There are multiple versions of the Medal which vary by the obverse effigy of the reigning monarch.
