A Wehrmacht Pith Helmet Insignia. In die stamped zinc, measuring 41mm (h), 3 prongs on reverse, very fine.
On regular helmets the shield insignia were simply painted on. On the Pith Helmet however, they took the form of a badge that was affixed to the helmet.
The Emblem Shield shows the national emblem, an eagle standing on a swastika.
