The pennants and flags of the HJ were used to represent the organisation at parades and events, or to represent a specific unit or Leader of the HJ.
Small pennants were commonly used for events and as decorations. About these individual versions there is limited information.
Prior to 1933, there were lots of different flag designs, as there were no regulations for standardisation yet. The flags were often homemade and rather crude in appearance.
A Gefolgschaft was a sub-unit of a Bann, comparable to the military unit of company.
The flag has red, white, and red horizontal stripes and shows a swastika on point on a white square.
In the upper left corner is a rectangular patch containing the Gefolgschaft number, followed by the Bann number. Early versions have black numbers on white, while later versions have black numbers on the respective branch colour. Landjahr flags have green letters on white.
