History

In general, the uniforms of the male Hitler Youth members consisted of a top, a neckerchief and woggle – but a tie for officers –, bottoms, a belt, knee socks, and shoes or boots.

The Leader’s Rain Coat was introduced in a regulation from September 5, 1941. It was worn by the ranks of Bannführer and above during inclement, yet not too cold weather. It was similar to the Leader’s greatcoat, except that the colour was lighter and the fabric was different. The material is unknown.

It was worn closed to the top button. Just like the greatcoat, it has two rows of six buttons each. The coat features a concealed slit pocket with an unbuttoned flap at each hip.
