The Army Championship Medal is non-wearable. It was awarded to members of the Heer for varying sports events.

Medals awarded up to 1936 feature the inscription "Der Reichskriegsminister" on the obverse. Medals awarded from 1937 on feature the inscription "Der Oberbefehlshaber des Heeres".
