History


The Israel State Medal for Valour was instituted by the Israel Government Coins and Medal Corporation in 1959, on the 10th Anniversary of the War of Independence which established the Israel state and the Israel Defence Force. The Medal is awarded in commemoration of the valour of the children of Israel.

The Medal features inscription in both English and Yiddish.
