The Territory of New Guinea Police Force Hat Badge was instituted in 1930.
There are two versions of the Badge. The first version was worn by members of the Native TNG Constabulary and features the obverse inscription, “NATIVE TNG CONSTABULARY."
The second version was worn by European members of the TNG Constabulary, and features the obverse inscription, “EUROPEAN TNG CONSTABULARY."
