In silver, obverse illustrating the crowned cyphers of Tsars Nicholas I, Alexander II, Alexander III and Nicholas II, reverse inscribed in Russian "For the Campaigns in Central Asia in 1853-1895", 27.8 mm, replacement ribbon wrapped around a five-sided cardboard frame, light contact, near extremely fine.
This medal was instituted in commemoration of the creation of borders between the Russian Empire, Persia, Afghanistan, and China. It was conferred upon higher ranking military personnel and civilians, medical staff, members of the Red Cross, and members of the clergy.
The obverse features the ciphers of Nicholas I, Alexander II, Alexander III, and Nicholas II. The reverse inscription translates to: "For the Campaign in Central Asia in 1853-1895".
