The Jubilee Medals for the 20th Through 40th Anniversaries of Victory in the Great Patriotic War was established on May 7, 1965. This medal was conferred upon all servicemen and civilians who served in the Armed Forces during WWII. More than 15 million were awarded.
The obverse is dated and presents the soldier-liberator monument, which was erected in 1949 and dedicated to the soldiers who died in the Battle of Berlin. The reverse Russian inscription translates to: "Twenty Years of Victory in the Great Patriotic War XX".
